Cricket has designed and renovated several units for Tucker's Marketplace Buffet full-sized buffet restaurants. The client hired Cricket to design the brand extension Tucker's Express Kitchen which takes Tucker's into the upscale QSR market. The TEK concept includes a full bakery, custom made sandwiches, stir-frys, pastas, a salad bar, and a quality "Grab & Go" offering. The dining area features a range of comfortable soft seating and a gas fireplace.
The TEK concept has been licensed to Canadian Tire Petroleum for the new Q Store gas bar/convenience store. The first TEK in a Q Store opened at Dixon & Eglinton, near Toronto's Pearson Airport in September 2006.
